Dimethylaminoethanol, (108-01-0),
2-DIMETHYLAMINOETHANOL and comes with molecular formula of C4H11NO and molecular weight of 89.13624. It works as anti-depressive agent and is also used for treating movement disorders. Available in colorless liquid form, it has amine odor with boiling point of 135 DEG C @ 758 MM HG, melting point of -59 DEG C, density/specific gravity of 0.8866 @ 20 DEG C/4 DEG C. The chemical has miscible solubility with water, ether, acetone & benzene. 

N,N-dimethylethanolamine is a tertiary amine that is ethanolamine having two N-methyl substituents. It has a role as a curing agent and a radical scavenger. It is a tertiary amine and a member of ethanolamines.


Uses:

• It is a precursor to other chemicals, such as the nitrogen mustard 2-dimethylaminoethyl chloride.
• The acrylate ester is used as a flocculating agent
• It is used in gas purification
• Its bitartrate salt is sold as a dietary supplement
• It has been also used as an ingredient in skin care
• In cognitive function
• Used in Mood-enhancing products.
